Rockwall High School's wrestling team will host 16 top teams from around the State of Texas for its annual Rockwall Invitational on Saturday at RHS gymnasium.

State powers Houston Westside and Houston Clear Lake will represent South Texas against strong competitive squads from St. Marks, Arlington Bowie, Highland Park, Grapevine, Flower Mound Marcus, Frisco Wakeland, Wylie, Weatherford, Plano East, Keller, Keller Central, Hebron, Rockwall-Heath and Rockwall in the 16-team field.

The Jackets prepped for the meet by winning the Richardson Roundup two weeks ago and knocking off Jesuit 64-21 in a dual meet last Tuesday at RHS.

Josh Holloway won the 125-pound weight class by fall against Jesuit, Dylan Milhausen captured the 130-pound division by fall, Austin Farris won by fall in the 160-pound class, Dylan Devereaux claimed his 171-pound bout by fall and Baylor Black won by fall in the 189-pound weight class to lead Rockwall.

Nick Hyde won by major decision 13-5 in the 119-pound division and Robert Hinton (285), Collin Hill (215), Ian Stewart (140), Grant Baker (145) and Zach Everett (152) won their bouts by forfeit.

Rockwall-Heath wrestlers prepared for the Rockwall Invite by finishing second at their own Heath Hawks Invitational on November 27.

The Hawks won five individual weight class titles, with David Tanner (215), Clint Scott (189), Troy Mercer (171), Ryan Sauer (140) and Nakona Brawner (119) going undefeated at the meet.
