With mid-season approaching Rockwall and Rockwall-Heath soccer teams are still fighting to put together more than one win in a row.

Rockwall's Jackets and Lady Jackets both posted one win and one loss last week in District 21-4A action.

The boys team chalked up a 2-0 victory over Lovejoy on Tuesday with senior forward Ryan Hughes ripping two goals, and senior midfielder Michelle Kelley kicking the winning goal in the Rockwall girls 1-0 win over Lovejoy.

But, neither team could make it back-to-back victories on Friday as the Jackets dropped a 3-0 decision to The Colony and the Lady Jackets lost 3-1 with Kelley kicking the lone Rockwall goal.

The loss knocked the Jackets out of a battle for the district lead to third place with their 2-2 record. Richardson Pearce leads the way with its 3-1 record and Highland Park is second at 2-1-1.

Friday's loss dropped Rockwall's girls to 1-2-1 and fifth place in district. Pearce holds down first place with its perfect 4-0 record, with Highland Park and The Colony tied for second at 2-1-1.

Heath teams tie one, lose one
