The Rockwall two-time defending state champion girls gymnastics team edged a strong Highland Park team 114.90 - 114.75 in a dual meet last Thursday at the RHS gymnastics gym.
Highland Park gymnasts won the Top-2 spots in the All-Around, but Rockwall’s Shelbi Crawford finished third (37.90), Jamie Pultorak claimed fourth place (37.85) and Kailea Coles came in fifth (37.25) as the Lady Jackets depth carried them to the dual win.
Crawford captured third place on Vault (9.75), fourth place on Bars (9.45), seventh place on Beam (9.05) and sixth place on Floor (9.65); Pultorak came in second on Bars (9.75), fourth on Floor (9.70) and fifth on Vault (9.60); and Coles finished first on Vault (9.80), second on Floor (9.75) and third on Beam (9.50).
Also scoring points for the Lady Jackets were Tori Hedges with fourth-place finishes on Vault (9.70), Beam (9.30) and Floor (9.70); Jenna Jeffrey with a fifth place on Bars (9.40) and seventh place on Floor (9.60); Brooke Kearby with sixth-place finishes on Bars (8.85) and Beam (9.10); Katie Weidman with a seventh place on Floor (9.60); Megan Inglis with a seventh place on Bars (8.60); and Hayden Raney with an eighth place on Vault (9.40).
The Rockwall girls, along with the boys, were scheduled to take on Richardson and Euless Trinity at the RHS gymnastics gym yesterday, but the tri-meet was cancelled.
They will compete again at L.D. Bell next Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
