Rockwall’s soccer girls defeated Heath 2-0 to give the Lady Hawks their first District 21-4A loss on Youth Soccer Night at the RHHS Turf Field on Tuesday.

  The loss by Heath (3-1-1) and win by Rockwall (3-1-0) puts the RISD schools in a battle for district supremacy with Wylie East (2-0-1), which bested Rockwall 1-0 and tied RHHS 0-0, and Wylie (2-1-1).

  In Tuesday’s big crosstown matchup Rockwall’s defense held Heath scoreless and the offense put up scores by Niki McKnight and Shelby Soldat for the victory.

  Rockwall also posted a 2-0 district win over Royse City on Friday. Berkley Talley and Savanah Warnick scored one goal each to lead the Lady Jackets.

  Heath also booked a win on Friday with an overpowering 8-0 win over Quinlan Ford.

  Lindsey Gardner scored two goals and Bailey Bacon, Brittany Buchanan, Hannah Harvey, Baileigh Millender, Erin Moses and Taryn Wheeler tallied one each.
