First place in District 11-6A volleyball will be on the line when Rockwall faces Rockwall-Heath at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the Hawks’ gymnasium.
Heath leads the district race at 8-0 and Rockwall ranks second with an 8-1 record.
This will be the third match this season between the two teams. Rockwall won 25-17, 25-20 on Aug. 18 at the Northwest tournament but Heath took the rematch 25-20, 25-20, 25-13 in a district match on Sept. 25 at Rockwall.
Rockwall is 20-16 overall after beating Mesquite 25-14, 25-8, 25-14 on Tuesday night. Bomi Ogunlari led the Lady Jackets with eight kills, Kylie Nott put away seven and Feyi Ogunlari added six kills. McKenzie Johnson led in digs with 12 and Jaden Dougal set for a team-high 21 assists.
Heath is 18-19 for the season following a three-set loss to Prosper in non-district play on Tuesday night.
Heading into the Prosper match, Bre Kelley led the Lady Hawks for the season with 284 kills, followed by Maddie Byrne with 238, Sydney Morey with 114 and Laurel Nalls with 111.
Leah Green led in digs with 390, Byrne has recorded 221, Nalls has 218 and Blair Adams has recorded 213.
Nalls led in assists with 589 and Danyelle Prado set for 262 assists.
Nott and Avery Reid rank first for the Lady Jackets with 272 kills. Feyi Ogunlari has recorded 202 kills and Ava Quatrone has put away 153 kills.
Johnson leads in digs with 597. Piper Kelley has 177 digs and Kim Tolman has recorded 167 digs.
Dougal tops Rockwall in assists with 1,050, an average of 10.9 per set.
