QUINLAN — Rockwall-Heath's Lady Hawk hoopsters won three games and lost one at the Quinlan Round Ball Roundup last Thursday-through-Saturday to improve to 4-3 for the season.

Adrienne Boswell put up 26 points and Sequeena Thomas poured in 25 to lead the Lady Hawks to an opening-round 71-56 victory over Paris Chisum.

Rockwall-Heath followed with a 65-48 win over Farmersville and a 40-33 defeat of Scurry-Rosser before losing to Canton 46-33 without standout player Thomas in the lineup.

Boswell and Thomas also led the way against Farmersville with Boswell hitting 22 and Thomas 21.

Thomas was the only Lady Hawk player to post double-digit scoring in the Scurry win with 23 of Heath's 33 points.

Chelsea Stephens, Boswell and Britton Massar booked nine, seven and seven points respectively in the loss to Canton.

RHHS rolled up a 10-6 first-quarter lead and carried a 28-28 tie into the fourth period. But, Canton racked up 18 points to five in the final quarter to take the win.

The Hawks opened their season with a 53-44 loss to Quinlan Ford last Tuesday and a heartbreaking 74-62 overtime defeat by Denison Friday.

Everett Gilbert dropped in 14 points, Sean Brannon gunned in seven and Logan Callier added six to lead the Hawks versus Quinlan Ford.

Chris Buttermore hit nine points, Stephen Zivney nine, Matt Tanner eight, Kolin Lipscomb eight, Tucker Bailey eight, Brannon eight and Gilbert six in the Denison loss. Denison broke open a 59-59 final deadlock with a 15-3 OT run.
