Rockwall-Heath will celebrate homecoming and also open District 11-6A football play at home on Friday.
The 3-1 Hawks, who suffered their first loss last week, will face 3-1 Tyler Lee at 7:30 at Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium in Rockwall.
McKinney North ended Heath’s four-game winning streak dating back to last season with a 56-34 victory though Hawks quarterback Josh Hoover threw for 391 yards and three touchdowns. Hoover was 24-of-40 passing. Hoover has now thrown for 1,363 yards and 13 touchdowns during the 2019 season, completing 72 of 117 attempts.
Wide receiver Jayden Jones led the Hawks against McKinney North with five catches for 192 yards and a TD. Jones leads the Hawks in receiving yards (529) and TD catches (6) off 16 receptions.
Corban Cleveland leads the Hawks in receptions with 21 for 266 yards and three TDs.
Casey Curtin has caught 12 for 246 yards and three scores.
Trey Graves has caught 11 passes for 174 yards and Zach Evans has six catches for 51 yards.
Evans ranks as the Hawks’ leading rusher with 440 yards and seven TDs on 66 carries.
Preston Landis is next with 73 yards and one TD on 19 carries.
Tyler Lee opened the season with victories of 27-20 over Marshall, 34-7 over John Tyler and 35-28 to Nacogdoches.
The Raiders suffered their first loss 19-14 last week to Mesquite Poteet. Lee managed only 110 yards of total offense, including only 23 in the second half.
Lee scored on a 38-yard fumble return by defensive lineman Garfield Lawrence and a 9-yard touchdown run by Jamarion Miller.
Lee went 2-8 last season but beat Heath 42-31. Lee rushed for 402 yards in that game including 109 yards on 19 carries by Miller and 193 yards and four TDs on 13 carries by Jamar Arceneaux.
Heath rushed for 267 yards in that game but passed for only 64.
