Businesses in Rockwall were buzzing during the summer, while most cities across the county also recorded monthly gains in sales tax rebate revenue.
With one month of reporting to go, all of the cities in Rockwall County have seen rises in sales tax revenue this year, according to a report released by the Texas Comptroller’s office.
The November sales tax rebate payments represent each city’s portion of sales taxes collected at local merchants in September by monthly filers and during July, August and September by quarterly filers, which were reported to the Comptroller’s office in October.
