Rowlett resident killed in Terrell vehicle crash

A Rowlett resident was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Terrell on Sept. 19, according to Terrell police. The person was identified by police as Dulu Paul Boyd, 74.

At 12:16 p.m., a resident of Forney driving a gray 2013 Ford F-150 had what is believed to be a medical issue and struck a black 2014 Ram 1500 occupied by residents of Kaufman. The Ford F-150 then went onto the center divider and entered the intersection of state Hwy. 34 at S. Virginia St., according to police.

The F-150 then struck a black 2022 KIA Telluride occupied by Boyd that was turning from Airport Road to go south on State Hwy. 34.

The occupants of the Ram truck were transported to a hospital for possible injuries, according to police.

Boyd was transported to the Baylor Scott & White emergency room in Forney, where Boyd was pronounced deceased at 1:18 p.m. Next of kin were notified by hospital staff.

Several witnesses were contacted at the scene and provided helpful information.
