Plant engineering specialties distributor Hatfield and Company will construct a 50,000 square foot building to relocate their operation. Hatfield and Company is relocating their corporate headquarters, manufacturing facility and local sales office from Mesquite to the Rockwall Technology Park. The new 3.6 acre site will be located at Discovery Boulevard and Innovation Drive in Phase I of the Rockwall Technology Park, just south of IH-30.

The new office and warehouse will initially start with 25 full‐time employees. “It’s a privilege to have such a well established and successful organization join our business community,” said Sheri Franza, President and CEO of the Rockwall Economic Development Corporation. “The Hatfield and Boles have been residents of Rockwall and very involved in our community for quite some time. We are fortunate to have them make Rockwall their business home as well.”

The deal has been in the works between Hatfield and Company and the Rockwall Economic Development Corporation for the past year. Franza worked directly with George Hatfield, CEO, Greg Hatfield, President, and George Boles, COO of Hatfield and Company to broker the deal.

Hatfield and Company has nine locations in Texas, and locations in Louisiana and Oklahoma. Hatfield and Company is a manufacturers’ representative and distributor of filtration, instrumentation, industrial valves, steam/air, and other piping related products. “Hatfield and Company has been around for 52 years. They’re a proven, sustainable industry that will be a huge contributor to our community” said Franza.

Hatfield and Company originally began with a 5,000 square foot building in Mesquite in 1978. Later with one expansion, they added an adjacent building totaling about 22,000 square feet.

“We are looking forward to our new building, and also to the quality of the Rockwall Technology Park” said Greg Hatfield.

Construction on the new facility will begin March 1 by Hill and Wilkinson, General Contractors, and Merriman Associates, Architects. The building is expected to be completed in January, 2013. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held Feb. 27.
