The Rockwall City Council will conduct a public hearing during the July 19 regular session before considering an annexation request. The meeting is scheduled at 6 p.m. at Rockwall City Hall, 383 South Goliad Street.

The hearing will be to receive comment on the requested annexation of Tract 22 of the W.M. Dalton Survey, Abstract 22. The annexation is reportedly being requested by Allen and Lisa Stevenson for an almost 21-acre tract which is contiguous to the city limits and located generally on the south side of Clem Road and east of the intersection of Clem Road and FM 1141.

Upon annexation, the council intends to consider zoning the property as Planned Development District 91 for single family land uses.

Anyone interested in submitting written public comments via email may do so at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting via Planning@rockwall.com. Comments should be submitted along with the name, address and case number which is being referred.
