In its 17th year, the Rest Haven “Tree of Remembrance” offers a way to recognize personal loss and pay tribute to loved ones.

A bare Christmas tree will be placed in the foyer at each of the Rest Haven Funeral Homes – Rockwall, Rowlett and Royse City. Beginning Nov. 22 through Dec. 20 area families are invited to stop by one of the locations, personalize an ornament, and place it on the “Tree of Remembrance.” Ornaments will be available for personalizing Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rockwall and Rowlett locations, and at the Royse City Chapel from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday.

These special commemorative ornaments will adorn the trees in preparation for Rest Haven Funeral Home’s annual, community-wide holiday music program, “Sounds of the Season.” The program will be held at the Rockwall Chapel on Dec. 7 and begins at 7 p.m. This year’s musical performance will be presented by some of the “Rising Stars” of The Rockwall Independent School District’s Orchestra program. This talented group of orchestra students will entertain and inspire the audience with special orchestral selections of the season.

There is no charge, and the event will be a holiday outing for the entire family. Rest Haven Funeral Home’s Rockwall Chapel is located at 2500 State Hwy. 66 East, approximately two miles east of downtown Rockwall. Call 972-771-8641 for details.
