Mabel McMillan, 94, of Rockwall passed away Dec. 10, 2009.

She was born March 12, 1915, in Belote, 12 miles east of Crockett, to Dolphus Lycurgus and Maud (Watson) Ashmore. Mrs. McMillan was an office manager in the retail industry until her retirement. She was a member of Potosi Methodist Church and a 60-year member of Eastern Star-J.A. Kemp Chapter in Wichita Falls. Mrs. McMillan met her husband, Jesse, in May 1975, married him three months later on July 1, 1975; they were married for 34 happy years. She loved to travel with Jesse and was completely devoted to her family.

Mrs. McMillan is survived by her husband of Rockwall; a daughter, Ginger Baugh of Rockwall; stepson Ted Hatcher and wife Frances of Kingsland; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Helen Ashmore of Whiteface; brother-in-law Pete Schulle; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Gene Hatcher; sons Gary Hardin and Dale Hatcher; daughter Billye Jean Cason; a step-daughter, Patsy Brice; brother Dolph Ashmore; and sisters Elna Schulle, Hautense Ashmore and Lela Ashmore.

Funeral services are scheduled at noon on Friday at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel. Interment follows in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
