Rockwall to start spraying for mosquitos on Monday

City officials, based on the recommendation of Rockwall's health officials, have approved

initiating a comprehensive mosquito abatement program consisting of fogging and treating stagnant bodies of water with larvicide.

Beginning the week of July 20, city crews will begin fogging streets between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. For a detailed map of when your neighborhood will be treated, visit www.rockwall.com/mosquito.asp.

City officials say no confirmed cases of West Nile Virus have been found within Rockwall to date.

They suggest that people who do not want their residences sprayed to call 972-771-7761.
