The Rusty Chippy Vintage Hippy and Garden Show is just around the corner.
The annual garden show, set for next Saturday and Sunday at the Walker County Fairgrounds, will feature over 100 vendors selling vintage and repurposed goods, items for the garden, jewelry, furniture and antiques.
“We attract a wide variety of customers, antique enthusiasts, turquoise, estate and modern jewelry lovers, funky junk collectors, home and garden seekers and customers looking for the newest fashion trends,” said Kay King, the event organizer. “We also have an excellent concession stand with Pappy Paul & Kaki Too Catering. They are not your average concession stand they offer fried catfish baskets, burgers and much more.”
New for the 2019 show will be an expanded indoor space that will provide shopping and protection from the winter weather. The event boasted over 2,500 customers in 2018 and is looking to attract even more this year, with vendors from all over the nation. In addition to expanded shopping space, the show will also feature food trucks and boutique trailers.
Attendees will be able to view painted furniture and artist demonstrations, while other vendors will have handmade jewelry for sale.
“The Rusty Chippy Show offers a wide variety of home and garden items in addition to antiques,” King added. “We will have homemade jams and jellies, soaps, yard art, clothing, as well as antiques, funky junk, vintage and collectibles.”
Entry to the show is $7, which will include admission for both days. Children under 12 will receive free admission.
“We hope our community will show our out of town guests what awesome patrons we have here in Huntsville and Walker County,” King said. “Obviously we are hoping for great weather, awesome crowds and a great time to be had by all.”
