This position is responsible for accurately coding all the IP Medicare accounts, assisting with the coding of other accounts as indicated, and ensuring that the total uncoded dollars remains within the coding area guidelines of five (5) AR days. The qualified applicant will possess a strong working knowledge of Medicare billing rules, regulations and local medical review policies as they impact reimbursement under APCs and DRGs C.C.S. credentials (Certified Coding Specialist Hospital based), or RHIA credentials with two (2) years of acute care coding background.
