Richard Sollenne
SHERMAN — Funeral services for Richard V. Sollenne, 49, of Rockwall were held at 1 p.m., Aug. 3, at the Waldo Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed at the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman.
Richard died July 30, 2008, at the All Saints Medical Center in Fort Worth.
He was born in Sherman on Oct. 2, 1958, son of Nicolas Peter Jr. and Elizabeth Jean (Vaught) Sollenne.
Richard graduated from Sherman High School and then later received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Jacksonville Theological Seminary in Jacksonville Fla. Richard served as a minister in the nondenominational faith. He was a member of the Calvary Cathedral International Church in Fort Worth. Richard served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Gail Sollenne of Rockwall; father of Rockwall; a daughter, Leah Sollenne of Granbury; son Richard V. Sollenne Jr. and wife Sarah of Plano; a stepson, John Breedlove and wife Carrie of Denton; two grandchildren, Mathis Bryce Barnes and MacKenzie Elizabeth Barnes; sisters Elizabeth “Betsy” Sollenne of Rockwall and Karen Richardson of Denison; brothers David Sollenne and wife Karen of Humble and Dr. Nicholas Sollenne III and wife Stacy of Houston; a niece, Angela Richardson of Denison; nephew Brad Sollenne of Houston; and cousins Margaret Vaught of Sherman, and Susan Vaught of Baton Rouge, La.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents Dr. P.T and Lucille Vaught.
Pallbearers were Mike Baecht, Richard Sollenne Jr., John Breedlove Jr., Dr. Nicholas P. Sollenne III, David Sollenne and Charles Docken.

KENNETH Ingram
James Kenneth Ingram, 83, of Rockwall died July 31, 2008, with his family by his side.
He was born Nov. 19, 1924, in Wolfe City, the son of Sam Houston and Meddie (Garrett) Ingram. Mr. Ingram married Ethel Mae Rushing on Oct. 3, 1946, in Wolfe City; she survives. Mr. Ingram was a proud and active member of the Rockwall Community for many years and had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Rockwall since 1968. He served 10 years on the Rockwall School Board and was proud of his appointment as Justice of the Peace to fill a vacancy that he continued to fill for several years. Mr. Ingram was also an active member in his church where he taught Sunday school for the youth and adults.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the 10th Mountain Division during World War II. He served in Italy where he received a Purple Heart and was an active member in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Ingram was also active in the Rockwall Rotary Club, the Sons of the American Revolution and the Sons of the Republic of Texas. His hobbies included genealogy, gardening and spending time with his family doing various activities. He was most proud of his granddaughter's recent graduation from University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Ingram is survived by his wife, Ethel Mae Ingram of Rockwall; two sons: Jerome Wendell Ingram and James Kendell Ingram and wife Terri, all of Rockwall; one granddaughter, Kenyon Mae Aguillon and husband Audon Jr. of Austin; and two stepgrandchildren, Eric Hix of Rockwall and Bryan Hix and wife Christy of Fate.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Haskell Ingram, John Garrett Ingram and Bill Ingram; and three sisters: Hallie Cozby, Lourine Donaldson and Violet Jackson.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Aug. 2, 2008, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall chapel. Interment followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City.
Katie Williams
Katie Louise Williams, 80, of Rockwall died Aug. 3, 2008.
She was born June 5, 1928, in Jacksonville, son of John and Hester (Ledbetter) Virden. Mrs. Williams was a baker in the restaurant industry, and a member of Lake Pointe Church.
She is survived by her children, John and Tammy Williams of Houston, Danny and Rhonda Williams of Garland, Mike and Lynda Williams of Paris, Linda and Kevin Caldwell of Rockwall, and Karen and Rocky Lindsey of Rockwall; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carrie Mae Hunt; and daughter Susan.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Aug. 6, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel. Interment followd in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Michael Lowery
Michael J. Lowery, 78, of Rowlett died Aug. 4, 2008.
He was born April 11, 1930, in Grover, Ala., to Joseph and Susie (Williams) Lowery. Mr. Lowery was a wonderful father and a hard worker as a dietitian in the medical industry. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and LSU football.
Mr. Lowery is survived by his children, Melissa Stevenson and husband Ivan of Garland, Michelle Lowery of Rowlett, Denise Gordon and husband Dale of Mobile, Ala., Michael Lowery Jr. of Pennsylvania, Herbert Lowery of South Carolina, and Brian Lowery of Mobile, Ala.; grandchildren Nicholas Stevenson, Melody Moreno and husband Gabriel, Thomas Stevenson and Wesley Stevenson; and brothers Spurlan Lowery of Pensacola, Fla., Russell Lowery of San Antonio, and Vaughn Lowery of Mobile, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Florene (Mayo) Lowery; and brother Dick Lowery.
Services were held at 10 a.m., Aug. 7, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Stephen Miller officiating.
Coleene Vandiver
Coleene Savage Vandiver died Aug. 6, 2008, in Rowlett.
She was born Nov. 18, 1932, in Hollis, Okla. Mrs. Vandiver was past president of Trailways Credit Union and Amcon Credit Union. She loved helping people anytime she could. Following her retirement, she and her beloved Honey went on to travel to different parts of the world until 2004, when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Mrs. Vandiver was a Christian lady who brought her children up to truly believe in Christ. She was a member of Highland Oaks Church of Christ.

Mrs. Vandiver is survived by her husband of 58 years, Billy J. Vandiver of Rockwall; a son, Jay L. Vandiver and wife Paula of Rockwall; daughter Letitia V. Tarkington and husband Bob of Rockwall; beloved grandchildren Jenny Swick and husband Danny, Alicia Mericle, Brandon Vandiver, Joel Vandiver and wife Kristina and Brianne Binyon, who all called her “Genda”; nine great-grandchildren, Melody, Tyler, Bradley, Bailey, Liam, Sophie, Haven, Asa and Maverick; a brother, Hugh Savage and wife Margaret; sisters Floye Miller, Margarete Sisk and husband Ray and Chattie Stevenson and husband Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee A. and Effie S. Savage, and brothers Bill, James and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Aug. 9, 2008, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home
