Obituaries for the Week of July 25
Ken Huggins
Ken Huggins, 64, of Rockwall died July 16, 2008.
He was born Aug. 22, 1943, in Nashville, Tenn., to Roy and Madis Elizabeth (McIllwain) Huggins. Mr. Huggins was a member of the Rush Creek Yacht Club, and enjoyed sailing and golfing. He was a computer software designer.
Mr. Huggins is survived by his special friend, Lise of Rockwall; a brother, Henry; sisters Julia and Nancy; and a nephew, Miller, all of Nashville, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life service was held at 6 p.m., July 20, at the Rush Creek Yacht Club, 320 Rush Creek Dr, Rockwall.

Ron Turner
Ron Turner, 59, of Greenville died unexpectedly on July 18, 2008.
He was born April 3, 1949, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Hubert and Ruby (Simpson) Turner. Ron had been a resident of Greenville for five years where he was a computer programmer.
He is survived by sons Robbie and Michael Turner; a daughter, Amy Parks; and sisters Brenda Lee Barnhart, Phyllis Andrews and Loretta Taylor.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brother Michael Edward Turner.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Rena Harris
Rena Harris, a lifetime resident of Rockwall, died peacefully July 19, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born Jan. 25, 1944, to Carl and Bonnie (Graem) Smith. Rena was a loving homemaker and member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by son Scott Harris and wife Anna of Lewisville; a daughter, Annetta Nabors and husband John of Blooming Grove; her mother, Bonnie Graem of Rockwall; sister Carolyn Hill and husband John of Rockwall; a brother, Wayne Smith and wife Debbie of Garland; and grandchildren Jeremy, Jenna, James, Robbie, Alana, Aleisha and Matthew.
Rena was preceded in death by her father, Carl Smith, and husband James Harris.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., July 23, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Rev. Duane Crane officiating. Intermentl followed in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Dustin Hendrickson
Dustin Scott Hendrickson, 29, of Dallas died July 20, 2008.
He was born May 12, 1979, in Dallas. Dustin served his country in the United States Air Force and worked in the wholesale food industry.
He is survived by his fiancée, Candice Brannon of Dallas; sons Riley Payne Hendrickson, Terrance Staples and Cameron Staples of Dallas; his parents Dianne Patterson and Denis Patterson of Rockwall; a sister, Kimberly Blankenship of Dallas; brother Patrick Patterson of Rockwall; an aunt, Dimple Hudgens of Dallas; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., July 24, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Rev. Lyn Cypert officiating. Interment followed in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
