Mary Crawford
Mary Elizabeth Crawford, a lifetime resident of Fate died July 4, 2008, at the age of 84.
She was born May 1, 1924, in Caddo Mills to Adlie and Bess Stevenson. Mary was a graduate of East Texas University where she earned a master’s degree in literature and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She taught at the high school and college levels and remained active in the Retired Teachers Association of Rockwall. Mary loved reading and music and was a member of Lakeside Book Club and was president of the club in 1994. She had been a member of Fate Presbyterian Church since 1940 where she played the organ and freely offered her musical talents to others for weddings and other special occasions. In 2007 Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Crawford, who served as mayor of Fate for 33 years. They met, fell in love and shared 65 wonderful years together.
She is survived by two sons, William Earl Crawford Jr. and wife Joy of Nacogdoches and Steve Crawford of Fate; grandchildren Alexandra and Derek Crawford; a great-granddaughter, Candiss Crawford; and brother Frank Stevenson of Lufkin.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., July 7, at Fate Presbyterian Church. Interment followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills,.
Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Larry Schuerman
Larry L. Schuerman, 67, real estate broker, died July 3, 2008, surrounded by family.
Larry was born Oct. 7, 1940, in Plymouth, Neb., son of Bernhard and Mable (Butt) Schuerman. He enjoyed gardening, especially taking care of his rose garden, watching the birds in his yard, going back to Nebraska in the fall to hunt with his sons and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
To a good husband, good father and good friend, good night. While the party will continue, it will be noticeably less festive in your absence. Birth is a beginning and death a destination. And life is a journey, a sacred pilgrimage to life everlasting.
Larry is survived by his wife, Maureen Schuerman; two brothers; one sister; 10 children, 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held July 8 in Lincoln, Neb.

Wiley Stephenson
Wiley Coy Stephenson died peacefully July 7, 2008, at home surrounded by family.
Mr. Stephenson served his country in the United States Army during WWII and received the Purple Heart. He was much loved and will be truly missed.
Mr. Stephenson is survived by his wife, Mary Nell Stephenson; sons Mike Stephenson and wife Christi, Terry Stephenson and wife Kathy and Sam Stephenson and wife Shellie; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Robert Stephenson and wife Robbie; sister-in-law June Stephenson; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 10 a.m., July 9, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel.

Joe Lindigrin
VICKSBURG, Miss. — Joe Lindigren, 67, was born June 21, 1941, in Vicksburg, Miss., and died unexpectedly July 3, 2008, at Medical City in Dallas surrounded by his loving family.
He graduated from St. Aloysius High in 1959 and then attended Hinds Community College and Mississippi State University. He was employed by L.M. Berry Company where he won many outstanding sales awards. Joe owned Jackson Specialty Advertising in Jackson, Miss., for 21 years, retiring in 2004.
Lifelong Mississippians Joe and his wife had recently moved from Madison, Miss., to Rockwall to be near their son and grandchildren. He always told people the youngest MacKenzie, “Mack,” age 2 1/2, had the longest little arms pulling them to leave their home state of Mississippi.
Affectionately known by his many friends as “Bogey” Joe, he was an extremely talented golfer. He was a Mississippi Walker Cup team member for several years, a senior state champion and held many course records and club championship titles over the years at various clubs around Mississippi. He also shot his age many times and made eight holes-in-one.
He was a member of Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church in Jackson, Miss.
Joe is survived by his wife of 48 years, Geraldine Conn Lindigrin; his son, Jeff Lindigrin and wife Andrea of Rockwall; daughter Sherry Lindigrin of Vicksburg, Miss.; his mother, Frances Lindigrin of Vicksburg; brothers John Lindigrin and wife Cherri of Vicksburg and David Lindigrin and wife Elizabeth of Clinton, Miss.; a sister, Lynda Willoughby and husband Billy of Vicksburg; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His father, Joe Lindigrin Sr., and grandparents Lawrence and Mattie Storey and Joseph Anthony and Elizabeth Lindigrin preceded him in death.
Services were held at 2 p.m., July 7, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, Miss.
Pallbearers were Mike Lewis, R.K. Mason, David Willoughby, Jack Thompson, Robert Pope and Gene Pope. Members of the Agape Sunday Class of Lakeshore Church in Jackson, Miss., were honorary pallbearers.
