Concepcion Barreras
Concepcion Barros Barreras, 85, of Garland died June 1, 2008.
She was born Dec. 7, 1922, in Bangued, Philippines, to Cayetano and Petra (Olalde) Barros. Mrs. Barreras was married to her husband Jorge for 49 years, and was a retired school principal. She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother, as well as a cheerful friend. Mrs. Barreras was a strong-willed woman, and fought her illness to the end. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, a member of Handmaid of the Lord for CFC and an active member in the Filipino senior citizens community.
Mrs. Barreras is survived by her daughters, Petra Torrijos, Isabel Valera, Concepcion Salazar and Rosemarie Tiuseco; sons George Barreras, Cayetano Barreras and Leocadio Barreras; and sisters Lourdes Balbin, Virginia Barros and Lily Barros.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A funeral mass was held at 2 p.m., June 5, at Sacred Heart Mausoleum Chapel, 3900 Rowlett Rd in Rowlett. Interment will take place in the Philippines.

Buddy Dooley
Buddy (Allen) Dooley, 63, of Royse City died June 2, 2008.
He was born April 17, 1945, in Roanoke, Va., son of Allen Cline and Rosa (Bryant) Dooley. Buddy served our country in the United States Navy and liked to travel in his younger years, especially to beaches and the ocean. He enjoyed photography, NASCAR, automobiles, classic cars and spending time with his family. He was a loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, as well as grandnieces and nephews. Buddy was in management in the automotive industry and was a member of Lake Point Church.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Dooley of Royse City; children Rosie Lee Williams and husband Ed of Independence, Mo., Kevin Bryant Dooley and wife Ann of Royse City and SarahBeth Newton and husband Joe of Eugene, Ore.; grandchildren Joline Williams and Lilybeth Dooley; a brother, Alton Cline “Butch” Dooley and wife Karen of Buchanan, Va.; and sisters Ruthie Meador of Troutville, Va., Virginia Wilson of Buchanan, Va., Thelma Dooley and husband Tommy of Troutville, Va., Georgia Perdue of Troutville, Va., and Brenda Dooley and husband Ray of Vinton, Va.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of Buddy’s life was held at 2 p.m., June 5, at Lake Pointe Church, 701 E I-30, Rockwall, with Pastor Steve Stroope and Rev. Lyn Cypert officiating.

‘Betty’ Pratt
Eula M. “Betty” Pratt of Rockwall died June 4, 2008.
She was born Sept. 13, 1917, in Aubrey, Ill., to Jon and Mary A. (Ensign) Abs. Mrs. Pratt was a homemaker andhd been a resident of Rockwall for six years.
She is survived by her niece, Roseann Floura of Rockwall; a great niece, Kristen Johnson and husband Trevor of Rockwall; and great-great-niece Alex Johnson.
Mrs. Pratt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Pratt; one brother and four sisters.
