‘Ty’ Thornton III



VAN — Boyce “Ty” Thornton III died at the age of 39 on April 12, 2008 in Canton.

He was born Nov. 26, 1968 in Richardson. He was raised in Rockwall and graduated from Rockwall High School in 1987. He had been a resident of Dallas County for 10 years and worked with antique trains.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Boyce Thornton, Ralph W. Frazier and Hazel Mae Frazier.

Survivors include his wife, Angeline Thornton of Mansfield; a son, Boyce Rupert “Bret” Thornton IV of Mansfield; his father, Boyce R. Thornton II of Rockwall; his mother, Silvia S. Thornton of Dallas; a brother, David Shahn Thornton of Colfax, Calif.; and a grandmother, Mildred Thornton of Rockwall.

No services are planned.

Hillard Funeral Home of Van was in charge of arrangements.
