Gloria Scarpinato

Gloria Marie Scarpinato, 70, of Richardson died April 1, 2008.
She was born Oct. 29, 1937, to Hillory and Evelyn (Dupre) Guillory in Plaisance, La. Mrs. Scarpinato was a hospital nurse and a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Plano. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Scarpinato loved people, enjoyed decorating for every holiday, camping, vacationing in Florida and eating out.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Scarpinato of Richardson; a daughter, Renee Scarpinato and fiancé Mathew Walker of Frisco; sons Frank Scarpinato of Little Elm and Jay Scarpinato and wife Holly of Plano; grandchildren Nick, Paige, Chelsie and Dylan Scarpinato; and a sister, JoAnn Lloyd of Rowlett.
Mrs. Scarpinato was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Norma G. Guidry.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., April 4, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Deacon Sid Little officiating. Interment was in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Marjory Holcomb

Marjory L. Holcomb, 83, of Rockwall died April 2, 2008.
She was born Jan. 11, 1926, to Frank and Marguerite Lyle in Laurel, Neb. Mrs. Holcomb was the founder and first president of the Rockwall Historical Society and held numerous offices at First United Methodist Church where she was a member. She also served on many committees with the City of Rockwall.
Mrs. Holcomb is survived by her husband of 18 years, Don W. Holcomb of Rockwall and daughters Terri Noel of Rockwall, Barbara Felder of Rowlett, Nancy Jennison of Richardson and Sandy Melick of Albuquerque, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Steve Wickett.
Services were held at 11 a.m., April 5, at First United Methodist Church, Rockwall, with Dr. Joe Pool officiating.

Milford Therrell

Milford Ray Therrell, 74, of Terrell died April 3, 2008.
He was born May 10, 1933, in Vardaman, Miss., to Thomas Winfield and Ila Mae (Stewart) Therrell. Mr. Therrell proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1952 and received his bachelor’s degree in business from Memphis State University in 1957. He was founding chair of the Propane Education and Research Committee and president of the National Propane Gas Association. Mr. Therrell retired as president from Squibb-Taylor Inc. in Dallas. The former mayor of Sunnyvale, he was also active in church, serving the Lord in many capacities, most recently attending Rafter J. Cowboy Church.
Mr. Therrell is survived by his daughter, Betsy Therrell Collins and husband Randall of Portland, Tenn.; a son, Mark Williamson of Terrell; brother Tom Therrell of Calhoun City, Miss.; grandchildren Timothy and Brett White and Lydia, Sara and Rachel Collins; and a great-grandson, Tanner White.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tara Therrell White; his wife, Gail Therrell; his parents; one sister and one brother.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., April 6, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Dr. Aubrey Patterson officiating. Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery, Terrell.

Patricia Allen

Patricia Pecena Allen of Rockwall died April 3, 2008.
She was born Aug. 19, 1953, to William and Lee (Green) Pecena in Dallas. Patricia graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor of science in nursing, and later owned a private home healthcare business.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Allen; children Sara, Aaron, and Rachael Parker, and Robert and Matthew Allen; brothers Bill, Larry, Tom and Paul Pecena and wife Leslie; extended family Helen Brown, Undre’T Bynum, and J.J. Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; and sister Julia Pecena.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., April 8, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel.

Daisy Ratcliff

Daisy Dean Ratcliff of Royse City died April 8, 2008.
She was born Oct. 21, 1924, to James Hugh and Daisy Deen (Buchanan) Smith. Mrs. Ratcliff was a homemaker and was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Rockwall.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald Dale Ratcliff and wife Brenda Joyce of Mesquite and Gary Lynn Ratcliff and wife Sharon Elizabeth of Monroe, La.; grandchildren Stephen Ratcliff and wife Stephanie of Idabel, Okla., Shelley Gajdica and husband Beau of Red Oak, Michelle Williams and husband Brian of Grandville, Mich., Daniel Steelman and wife Kassy of Mesquite, and Dustin, Andrew and Whitney Ratcliff of Monroe, La.; great-grandchildren Madison, Haley, and Zachary Ratcliff, Lisa Williams, Bailey and Shelby Gajdica, and Trey, Joseph and Jacob Steelman; former daughter-in-law Sharon K. Ratcliff; close friend Becki Couron and family; a niece, Belinda Hargrove and several other nieces and nephews; brother George William Smith and sister Ima Jane Bernstein.
Mrs. Ratcliff was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Beauford Vernon Ratcliff; five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., April 10, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Rev. Timothy Greenawalt and Rev. David Anderson officiating. Interment was in Rockwall Memorial Cemetery.

Donald Wall

Donald George Wall, 72, of Rockwall died April 9, 2008.
He was born Aug. 12, 1935, in Queen, N.Y., to Frederick and Madeline (Nugent) Wall. Mr. Wall was a former bus driver for Queens Transit, and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Florence (Bianchi) Wall of Rockwall; a daughter, Donna Wall and husband O.G. Scarbrough of Royse City; sons Donald Wall and wife Debra of Richardson and Douglas Wall and wife Deana of Rockwall; a sister, Laurie McCrann of Florida; grandchildren Allison, Travis, Donald James, Bryan, Sarah, and Samantha.
Mr. Wall was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Russell and Dennis; and sister: Connie.
Funeral services are at 4 p.m. today at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1305 Damascus Rd., Rockwall with Rev. Monsignor Robert M. Coerver officiating.
Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall chapel is in charge of arrangements.
