Man killed in car-motorcycle accident

ROCKWALL COUNTY — A car-motorcycle accident at the intersection of Texas 276 and Farm to Market 548 claimed the life of 65-year-old James Walsh.

Walsh, according to the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office, had a Royse City mailing address.

The sheriff’s office reported that the accident occurred at 11:35 a.m. April 9. Names of car’s occupants were not available.

    A third time was not a charm for TK Lawless last week.
    In front of a standing room only crowd at City Hall, the Heath Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5-0 denying approval for the Hubbard Estates planned development situated at the northwest corner of Terry Lane and Smirl Drive. On Tuesday night, the new plan didn’t even reach the city council.

    After another lengthy executive session to start  a regular meeting Monday night, the council unanimously voted to hire Michael Kovacs to fill the position.
