Applications being accepted to be Democrat candidate for district attorney

ROCKWALL — Rockwall County Democrat Party is accepting applications for a place on the November ballot as the democratic candidate for Rockwall district attorney.

Ray Sumrow resigned from his position as the county’s district attorney on June 18 after two felony convictions.

Nominations will be accepted until July 13. On July 19 the Rockwall County Democratic Executive Committee will meet to vote and confirm the official nominee for the November election.
