Field set for Rockwall Idol finals

There were 34 contestants in the final preliminary competition to determine the next Rockwall Idol.

Joseph Reyna took the competition to join Jennifer J. Lee, Jill Donahue and Lauren Marks for the final competition which will be held in conjunction with Soroptimist International’s WomenAid banquet which will be held on March 29 at the Bella Harbor Hilton.

Glenda Burgess took the first runner-up spot and Ashley Austin was named second runner-up in what was the biggest night of competition to date in the contest.

“There are going to be a lot of fantastic singers who go home tonight without a place,” remarked Jamie Godfrey during the show.

The WomenAid banquet is a fundraiser held by Soroptimist of Rockwall each year to assist in the provision of medical treatment for area women in need. The assistance is provided through the Rockwall Helping Hands clinic.
